All our collectibles & wearables are produced in the finest archival materials which may include: urethane, resin, latex, epoxy, foam and cast metals.
Please consider the handmade nature of these items when choosing to pursue your dream costume, collection or display! Eevry piece is unique, and may include slight variations in thickness and reinforcement, edge trimming (all rubber handlaid, all trimming done by hand) and will usually include an occasional tiny air pocket or casting flaw (just like the screenused props). All pieces shipped will be A-grade (which is a spectrum in its own right), anything B-grade or lower will be sold as ‘flawed’ or ‘imperfect’. That’s common in this industry, as the technologies & techniques used by us are often the same as are used in Hollywood to create fantastical costumes and monsters!
Shipping & Delivery
Most pieces are produced made-to-order for each individual customer. Due to per-order material sourcing times (rubbers have limited shelf life so we cannot store large quantities), please expect up to 4-8 weeks production time for large custom-made rubber or costume parts. In calculating shipping costs, large heavy props/costume pieces (we don’t skimp on rubber!) require large boxing & padding to prevent damage of your items! UPS and USPS services used depending on item size.
All items produced by Dark Roast Replicas, are produced on a commission basis and purchaser assumes all liability for any resemblance to trademarked or copyrighted materials. These are artistic commissions only; general reproductions of well known costumes and props, not for resale or commercial use. Due to the nature of our commission-based ordering structure, all orders fall under our standing ‘no-refunds after 24 hours’ policy. For invoiced orders, any partial payments up and to the whole, will be furnished in equivalent materials or product if the payment cannot be completed in its entirety for a given commission. Dark Roast Replicas is not responsible for unforeseen delays or production problems, this is a small studio and we do not control the supply chain, and sometimes molds and materials fail or become defective leading to delays in production. We are craftsmen, and time and patience ensure quality.
