Dark Roast Replicas’ XL Latex Cape - The largest movie style latex cape made!
Cast in two panels, these latex hero capes are produced with a striking bat-wing texture extremely similar to the “1992-1995-1997-Onstar” capes (the 1989 cape was rougher). Our spine pattern, size and shape was patterned and copied off a stunt cape from the films (and overall lengthened ~ 8”).
THESE ARE FULLY FABRIC-BACKED CAPES as seen on screen!
Capes are cast in halves and joined at rear seam like movie capes.
Each panel is backed with black fabric, the front two panels are double-rubber like the “hero” capes see in the films.
Real suede leather collar bonded into cape rubber!
Fabric backing prevents “snag”, hang-ups and stretching common with pure latex capes.
Fabric is easily washable and helps cape smoothly move around armor, can be folded back over shoulders.
They will resist tearing, warp and stretch/sag due to the non-stretch-fabric reinforcement!
All spines are cast in the mold, integral to the rubber cape. Leading-edge spines are optional.
These capes are heavy, excellent for durability and swishy movement & sounds.
Includes metal "cape plates” for mounting behind/through chest emblem, and velcro (as a kit for you to install to fit your personal build).
Optional rod pockets. The rod pockets with fiberglass rods installed can inhibit driving/sitting, so choose wisely!
They will arrive in dead-black, fully coated for longevity and to prevent “stickiness” of raw latex. You can use a premium rubber protectant (Mothers VLR & Chemical Guys matte tested OK) to dial in your perfect finish.
THEY CAN BE MADE SHORTER FOR MEDIUM BATS!
